While home sales jumped in June, we are still slightly behind the record-breaking pace of 2013. We believe the sales would be even higher this year if we had more properties available. On average, it took 44 days to sell the houses that were purchased in June, which is the lowest amount on record. The tight market is also affecting home prices, with an increase in most areas.
"We thought we were seeing a cool-down on home sales in January, but the February sales pace changed back to a positive direction. Buyer demand is just incredible, with people willing to pay more for premium properties and locations. Prices in Oak Cliff/Kessler Park alone are up 39% from a year ago. It's a very exciting time for real estate, and an even more exciting time to be a home-seller!" - David Griffin
