Curtis first came to Dallas to attend SMU graduate school. He remained in Dallas and held corporate positions in engineering, management and sales. He soon became restless in the corporate world and began investing and brokering real estate in his spare time in evenings and on weekends. He later left the security of the corporate world to sell commercial real estate full time funded by his real estate investments. With the Texas real estate bust in the mid-eighties, Curtis returned to sales with Nortel Networks where he enjoyed years of sales success. He is most proud of the recognition he received as the National Salesman of the Year topping hundreds of his peers though out the US.
Curtis left the Telecom business in 2005 to return to his passion, real estate. Before joining David Griffin Company he brokered commercial properties with a closing rate of nearly eighty percent. He credits this success to referrals and repeat investor clients. One client wrote, “Curtis is a professional. His marketing packages are excellent, he is always accessible, and he stays close to the deal from beginning to end.”
Curtis enjoys family, gardening, walking and just about anything outdoors. In particular, he loves cruising on small ships especially in the Mediterranean.
Curtis has a degree in engineering from the University of Arkansas and worked toward and MBA in Finance at SMU. He has been called upon to speak at regional sales meetings and seminars throughout North America. His previous employers include IBM, Vought Aeronautics, AT&T, Cushman & Wakefield, Nortel Networks, and Lucent Technologies.
