Combat the winter blues with a day out downtown, where there are so many fabulous indoor attractions! Many people aren't aware that near the historic West End District is the Dallas World Aquarium. Just minutes from home you can walk into the tropical warmth of a rainforest and continue on to explore the plants and animals of five continents, 14 countries, three oceans, and numerous seas and rivers. Complete with a food court and daily performances, the Aquarium is a great spot for a winter outing. If you have extra time, head over to the nearby Old Red Courthouse. This museum features exhibits that explore the history of Dallas, from its humble beginnings to its boom in the modern world. Kids love the hands-on Education Center that offers a better understanding of pioneer life and the architecture surrounding our wonderful hometown!
