Local designer Leslie Eades selected the interior and exterior color palettes with the historic time period in mind. Per Eades, “Even though the colors are historically based, they work off the great interior flow and the abundance of natural light that was gained when the floor plan was opened up”.
Modern amenities and high-end finishes are found throughout.The formal areas were maintained but enlarged to create a more open feeling. The living room fireplace was fully upgraded to feature gas logs, a custom mantle and built-in bookcases with wavy glass fronts on either side. The formal dining room ceiling received box beams accented with bead board. Recessed lighting is found in every major room. All original heart pine floors were carefully refinished and wide pine, stained to blend with the original, was used in added areas.
The beautifully lit kitchen is fabulous, with some $22K+ in the stainless steel appliance package alone! Features include to-the-ceiling custom cabinetry, gorgeous marble countertops, fantastic professional gas range with double ovens and handy pot filler above, and built-in refrigerator/freezer, below counter microwave, butler’s pantry, walk-in pantry and separate 2-zone wine refrigerator.
The Master Bedroom is another complete package! The spacious spa-like bath with marble accents offers two pedestal sinks, a pair of mirrored medicine cabinets, a pair of walk-in closets, a private water closet, soaking tub and a large separate shower with multiple shower/rain/handheld features.
The full sized separate utility/mudroom with closet offers a clean and handy transition to the backyard. To top it off, there is a just completed 2 Car Garage with handsome Carriage-style automatic doors. For added convenience, the drive was equipped with a pair of auto gates; one across the front drive and the other off the alley!
